How do I find my Mac’s computer’s name?

If one of our technicians asks for your computer name we can either use the IT Eye Ltd Asset tag number if you have one attached to your computer or if not you can do the following: –

Mac:

• Choose Apple menu > System Preferences > Sharing.
  The computer name appears at the top of the window.
